Korean BBQ Turkey Burgers

Taste the traditional flavors of a Korean barbecue specialty, bulgogi, in the form of a burger complete with an onion, sesame seed bun.

Fresh ginger, peeled and grated

Worcestershire sauce

Biscuits
  1. Thaw biscuit dough, covered either at room temp. 15-30 minutes until flexible or refrigerated overnight.
  2. Combine onions, olive oil, garlic, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, cumin, salt and pepper in small mixing bowl.
  3. Spread approx. 2 tsp onion mixture onto each side of biscuit dough; place on parchment-lined sheet pan in 3x4 pattern, leaving space between.
  4. Bake as directed below until golden brown then allow biscuits to cool.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 7 minutes of baking.
Burgers
  1. Stir together ground turkey, garlic, ginger, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil and black pepper in mixing bowl.
  2. Place #16 scoop (2 oz) on greased, preheated griddle; smash into 3-inch diameter, 1/2-inch thick patties.
  3. Cook until internal temp. is >165°F (approx. 15-18 minutes), turning occasionally.
Assembly
  1. Slice cooled biscuits in half horizontally; place burger on bottom half.
  2. Drizzle with bbq sauce then add approx. 0.75 oz slaw; top with remaining biscuit piece and serve immediately.
